RPG Receives the 2010 Five Star Wealth Manager Award through Chicago Magazine.

With over half of the consumer responses included in this year’s report indicating it is difficult to find a wealth manage they trust and rely on how do you know who to call for help? Common examples of wealth managers are financial advisors, financial planners, investment advisors, tax advisors, estate planning attorneys etc.

What is Chicago Magazine’s Wealth Management Award?

This coveted award is presented to select Wealth Managers in the Chicago area who meet or exceed the required criteria. Recipients were reviewed by an independent blue-ribbon panel comprised of individuals from the financial services industry.

Wealth Managers do not pay a fee to be included in the research or the final list of FIVE STAR Wealth Managers.

About the Selection Process

With over 31,000 wealth managers in the Chicagoland Area, how do you find someone who truly listens to your needs, represents your interests and operates with an emphasis on integrity and service?

Crescendo administered a survey, by mail and phone, to approximately 1 in 4 high net worth households (over 250,000 households) and all identified FINRA registered representatives (over 15,500 financial services professionals) within the Chicagoland area.

The survey contained a series of questions based upon 9 criteria:

  • customer service
  • knowledge/expertise
  • integrity
  • communication
  • value for fee charged
  • meeting of financial objectives
  • post-sale service
  • quality of recommendations
  • overall satisfaction

An Elite Award

Less than 2 percent of wealth managers in the Chicagoland area met the required criteria to receive the coveted FIVE STAR Wealth Manager award. Only 455 of the top-scoring wealth managers made this year’s list.

Each wealth manager includes in the selection process could list up to three additional financial services that they provide to their clients.
